Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd has commercially launched VoLTE 4G services and most of the dual sim users are using Reliance Jio for high speed data services at the affordable cost in the Indian telecom industry. Still there are black spots where Reliance Jio is still working on expanding the network coverage or the network gets congested due to the heavy number of users being active at a particular time. In such cases, Reliance Jio 4G users can still receive incoming calls by forwarding / diverting their Jio mobile number to alternate Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number.
In this article we will discuss on how to activate or deactivate call forwarding, call divert service from Jio mobile sim to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI / BSNL mobile number.
Prerequisites:
JIO4GVoice application is required if your mobile doesn't support VoLTE for making calls directly. JIO4GVoice App is available on Google Play Store and Jio4GVoice on Apple Store
How to divert / forward calls from Jio to BSNL mobile & landline?
Please note that as of now calls from Reliance Jio mobile number can not be diverted / forwarded to BSNL mobile number or BSNL landline.
Activate call forwarding / call divert from Jio to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number
The call forwarding / call divert service can be activated to alternate mobile number by dialing below short codes depending upon your requirement.
Please note that you will charged for every call divert as per your outgoing tariff plan only when you accept the call on alternate mobile number.
Activate call forwarding on Jio mobile number unconditionally
To divert / forward all incoming calls from Jio to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number, dial code *401*<10 digit number> from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Example:
If you want to divert / forward calls unconditionally i.e. always to alternate mobile number 9123456789 then dial *401*9123456789 from your Reliance Jio number.
Activate call forwarding on Jio mobile number when call is not answered
To divert / forward incoming calls from Jio to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number if you do not answer/receive the call, dial code *403*<10 digit number> from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Example:
If you want to divert / forward calls to alternate mobile number 8123456789 when you do not answer the call then dial *403*8123456789 from your Reliance Jio number.
Activate call forwarding on Jio mobile number when number is busy
To divert / forward incoming calls from Jio to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number if your Jio number is busy, dial code *405*<10 digit number> from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Example:
If you want to divert / forward calls when your Jio number is busy to alternate mobile number 7123456789 then dial *405*7123456789 from your Reliance Jio number.
Activate call forwarding on Jio mobile number when number is not reachable
To divert / forward incoming calls from Jio to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number if your Jio number is not reachable or out of coverage or switched off, dial code *409*<10 digit number> from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Example:
If you want to divert / forward calls when your Jio number is not reachable or doesn't have network coverage to alternate mobile number 6123456789 then dial *409*6123456789 from your Reliance Jio number.
Deactivate / Cancel call forwarding / call divert from Jio to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number:
The call forwarding / call divert service can be deactivated by dialing below short codes depending upon your activation type.
Deactivate call forwarding - Unconditional
To cancel / deactivate unconditional call divert / call forward from Jio to Airtel / Idea / Vodafone / VI mobile number, dial code *402 from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Deactivate call forwarding - No answer
To cancel / deactivate call divert / call forward when you do not answer the call, dial code *404 from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Deactivate call forwarding - Busy
To cancel / deactivate call divert / call forward when your number is busy, dial code *406 from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Deactivate call forwarding - Not reachable
To cancel / deactivate call divert / call forward when your number is busy, dial code *410 from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Deactivate all types of call forwarding
To cancel / deactivate all types of call divert / call forward, dial code *413 from your Jio number and follow the IVR instructions.
Alternatively, you can activate / deactivate call forwarding / call divert from phone settings. Go to Call > Click on three dots at upper side to access Settings > Call Settings > Select SIM (Jio sim) > Call forwarding. There may be some minor changes in the options for different mobile phones.
